‘Your local village pub’ – nestled in the historical village of Pentrich, Derbyshire, we are delighted to welcome you to The Dog, a traditional family owned & run pub previously known as The Spaniel Dog during the famous Pentrich Revolution of 1817.
We offer a great variety of cask ales, premium lager, ciders, wines & spirits.

Indulge in the culinary delights of our region as we partner with the best local suppliers who share our commitment to taste, quality & the environment. Our menu is the perfect blend of tasty bar food, traditional pub classics & gastro style dishes.

We welcome dogs with well-behaved owners, muddy boots and of course the children !!

‘The Pentrich Ploughmans’ to ‘Venison Ragu’ mixing classic pub food with a Gastro twist.
We also serve Sunday lunch – The traditional, favourite Sunday Roast that always leaves our guests, wanting to return each and every Sunday. We also offer buffet & occasions menus for those special celebrations.

Our Drinks

We offer a great selection of drinks – We will always have 3 cask ales available – Bass, Ay Up, from dancing duck brewery and one guest ale. Our lagers are Madri, Beer Moretti, Carling and Camden Pale ale. We also have a great selection of red and white wines, cocktails and fizz. Guinness & Ciders are also on tap along with our soft & hot drinks range.
