Nestled in the historic village of Pentrich, Derbyshire, we're delighted to welcome you to The Dog — a traditional pub previously known as The Spaniel Dog during the famous Pentrich Revolution of 1817. We offer a great variety of cask ales, premium lager, ciders, wines & spirits.
We welcome dogs with well-behaved owners, muddy boots, and of course the children!

Classic pub food with a gastro twist. We also serve Sunday lunch — the traditional favourite Sunday Roast that always leaves our guests wanting to return each and every Sunday. We also offer buffet and occasions menus for those special celebrations.

Always three cask ales on tap
Bass, Ay Up from Dancing Duck Brewery, and one rotating guest ale. Our lagers include Madri, Birra Moretti, Carling and Camden Pale Ale, alongside Guinness and a great selection of ciders. We also pour a wide range of red and white wines, cocktails and fizz, plus soft and hot drinks.

Great to see the Dog back open. We received a warm welcome from the friendly helpful staff. Very tasty food of a high standard for our lunch. Reasonably priced. Excellent service from David. We'll be back!!
Visited The Dog last night and it was just great, good atmosphere and marvellous food. The service was prompt and the waitresses were very attentive. All in all a great night, well done The Dog.
Great food and nice bar staff, very friendly and chatting. Definitely I can recommend this new place after reopened.
